WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced their 2022 pre-season schedule on Tuesday.
American Association training camp begins Thursday, May 5th. The Goldeyes are scheduled to play four pre-season games, all of which will be hosted at Shaw Park.
The Goldeyes face Black Sox Professional Baseball on Saturday, May 7th and Sunday, May 8th. Both games begin at 1:05 p.m. The Black Sox are a barnstorming club made of current and former professionals that travels to various independent league training camps. The games allow host teams to face pro-calibre competition as they prepare for the upcoming season, while Black Sox players benefit from showcasing their abilities in front of top independent league managers. The two games versus the Black Sox are general admission seating with tickets available for just $5.00 plus applicable fees.
Winnipeg hosts the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in exhibition games on Tuesday, May 10th and Wednesday, May 11th. Both games are scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
The RedHawks are expected to remain in Winnipeg leading up to the regular season opener on Friday, May 13th.
Practice days during training camp (May 5th, 9th, and 12th) are open to the public, weather permitting. Times will be announced on the day of the practice.
