  • Group Sales Representative (Full-Time Permanent)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY:


    As a Group Sales Representative for the Winnipeg Goldeyes, you will play a key role in driving revenue and creating a memorable fan experience. Your primary responsibility will be to sell and promote various ticket packages, including group outings, while providing exceptional customer service.


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

    • Surpass defined targets by closing sales for Group Ticket packages and Hospitality areas incluging: Birthday Parties, Team Windups, Picnic Park Rentals, Patio Rentals, and Skysuite Rentals.
    • Establish a “pipeline” of viable Groups for present and future seasons. Make 30+ daily calls (cold, warm and callbacks) using supplied contact lists for: Local Businesses, Individuals, Youth Sports Teams, Church Groups, and Social Groups.
    • Maintain solid reporting of call outcomes and list organization.
    • Build relationships with Group Leaders. Provide superior customer service at every step of the process, including after the sale and focus on building rapport with new and existing groups to better understand their unique goals for their group event, and how we can achieve those goals with them at the ballpark.
    • Assist in ballpark Ticket Operations year-round. Process renewals and new purchases via phone, email and in-person. Package mailouts, as needed.
    • Work all Goldeyes home games in a position to be determined.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of one (1) year experience in outbound sales preferred.
    • Group and B2B sales experience (in the sports industry) considered an asset.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills and experience.
    • Excellent time and territory management skills.
    • Working knowledge of Tixr and use of a CRM system considered an asset. Training provided.
    • Must be flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, on an as needed basis.

Game Presentation Department

  • Mascot Performer

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY:


    As the faces of the Goldeyes organization, Goldie and Goldette play a crucial role in enhancing the fan experience, promoting team spirit, and engaging with audiences of all ages. The ideal candidates will possess a vibrant personality, excellent communication skills, and a passion for entertaining crowds.


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Execute entertaining dance routines and interact with fans during pre-game, in-game, and post-game activities to create an exciting atmosphere at Blue Cross Park.
    • Engage with fans of all ages through interactions, photo opportunities, and other fan experiences to enhance their enjoyment of the game.
    • Assist in promoting team events, merchandise, and sponsor activations through on-field appearances, social media, and community outreach.
    • Help maintain the integrity and appearance of the mascot costumes through proper care so as to ensure it remains in top condition for all appearances.
    • Collaborate with the game day production team to coordinate performances and enhance overall fan engagement.
    • Participate in community events, charity functions, and school visits, etc. to represent the Goldeyes and foster positive connections with fans and supporters.
    • Be adaptable to various weather conditions, game schedules, and fan demographics while maintaining high levels of energy and enthusiasm.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong ability to perform in costume, entertain crowds, and engage with diverse audiences.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with fans of all ages.
    • Dependability and punctuality, with a commitment to fulfilling scheduled appearances and responsibilities.
    • Willingness to work collaboratively with other members of the game day production team and Goldeyes staff.
    • While not required, previous experience as a mascot performer or in a related field such as entertainment, theatre, or sports marketing is advantageous.
    • Availability to work weekends, evenings, some holidays between May 21 and September 22.
    • Comfortable performing in a confined costume with limited visibility, mobility, adapting to different performance environments and situations.

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Noise levels in the work environment are frequently loud.
    • Exposure to outdoor elements.
    • Standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; climbing, kneeling, and stooping; the use of arms and legs.

Team History

Video Production Department

  • Video Camera Operator

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY: 


    Goldeyes video camera operators are primarily responsible for capturing high-quality visuals of baseball games and other events by setting up and operating camera equipment, selecting appropriate angles and shots, following the action on the field, and communicating effectively with the production crew to ensure smooth broadcast coverage, all while adhering to the producer’s and director’s vision and maintaining technical proficiency with camera settings and functionality. 


    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Working with producers and directors to determine all aspects of required shots.
    • Providing practical and creative input to production planning.
    • Selecting, assembling, and positioning of equipment (cameras, tripods, etc.).
    • Following game scripts and production schedules.
    • Capturing quality visuals of live game action and promotions from various camera positions. Video is used for the live stream of games on AABaseball.TV, the in-house videoboard, and Goldeyes social media and marketing materials.
    • Troubleshooting of technical or practical issues that may arise with cameras and other equipment.
    • Remaining attentive and focused at all times.
    • Performing other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong knowledge of baseball and related terminology an asset. 
    • Ability to identify Goldeyes’ and opposition players and positions.
    • Experience operating in a live video production environment and/or previous experience as a video camera operator for live sports events.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
    • Experience operating relevant equipment (cameras, tripods, etc.).
    • Ability to communicate clearly, multitask, and prioritize.
    • Ability to react quickly, adjust, and adapt.
    • Ability to handle fast paced and high-pressure situations.
    • Ability to understand and follow game scripts and production schedules.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Schedule flexibility (availability to work weekends, evenings, some holidays between May 20 and September 21).

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Constant sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
    • Ability to remain seated or standing for long periods.
    • Ability to perform normal lifting and carrying of equipment up to 25 pounds.
