WINNIPEG, MB – Access Credit Union is pleased to present the Goldeyes 6th annual “Bark in the Park” game at Shaw Park on Saturday, August 13 th when the Goldeyes take on the Sioux City Explorers at 6:00 pm.

Bark in the Park is a special dog-friendly baseball game where fans are invited to bring their dogs along to enjoy a Goldeyes game.

“Bark in the Park has definitely proven to be a Goldeyes fan favourite,” said Winnipeg Goldeyes Director of Sales & Marketing, Dan Chase. “And this year our fans can support the Winnipeg Humane Society by purchasing 50-50 tickets at the game or online at Goldeyes.com ”

“The power of partnership is so important to the WHS and we are thankful the Goldeyes thought to support us in this way. The WHS helps over 10,000 animals each year, we can only do this with the support of our generous community,” says Jessica Miller, CEO, Winnipeg Humane Society.

Doggos and puppers will need a ticket.

Advance Ticket Packages for “Bark in the Park” are on sale now starting at just $16 each plus fees.  Each package includes a seat for one dog and one owner (must be purchased in multiples of 2).

Additional advance single tickets are available for $12, $18 or $22.

During the event, dogs and dog owners can enjoy various dog-themed entertainment,  giveaways and pet-related fun with plenty of treats for furry fans plus a complimentary “treat bag” for the first 1,000 dogs through the gates.

“Bark in the Park” will showcase fun-filled promotions at the game including a pre-game, on-field “Pooch Parade” and “Paw-Paw-Razzi Photo Wall”. Other promotions include the “Pooch Smooch Cam” and “7th Inning Fetch”.

Fans and their four-legged friends will enter Shaw Park through a special gate reserved just for them.  There will even be designated “Puppy Potty” turf areas and watering holes located by the registration tent and in the Goldeyes Picnic Park.

WINNIPEG, MB – Left-handed starting pitcher Mitchell Lambson will be returning for a sixth season with the Winnipeg Goldeyes, as the club announced his re-signing Thursday. Lambson split last year between the Goldeyes and the Saraperos de Saltillo of the Mexican Baseball League. The 34-year-old went 2-0 with a 4.82 earned run average in four regular season starts with Winnipeg, adding a pair of victories in the Goldeyes’ thrilling postseason run. Lambson won an American Association championship with the Goldeyes in 2017 and was named the league’s Pitcher of the Year following the 2019 season, during which he went 13-4 with a 3.11 earned run average. Overall, the native of Montclair, California has made 90 appearances for Winnipeg between 2017 and 2024 and has compiled a 34-17 record with a 3.65 ERA. Lambson has pitched eight complete games, including three shutouts, and has struck out 340 batters. Lambson is among the Goldeyes’ career leaders in wins, winning percentage (.667), games started (55), complete games, innings pitched (426.2), and strikeouts. Chosen by the Houston Astros in the 19th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft out of Arizona State University (Tempe, Arizona), Lambson also pitched in the Atlanta Braves’ and Milwaukee Brewers’ organizations, reaching the Class-AAA level on two occasions. “We are very excited to get Mitch back with us,” said Goldeyes skipper Logan Watkins . “He came up big for us in some crucial games down the stretch last season and was a big part of our success in the playoffs. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced the signing Tuesday of outfielder Braxton Turner . Turner appeared in four contests for the club midway through last season, hitting .267 with a pair of runs batted in. The 24-year-old spent the 2022-24 seasons at Tennessee Wesleyan University (Athens, Tennessee), after playing for Purdue University Fort Wayne (Fort Wayne, Indiana) in 2019. In 169 college games, the native of Anderson, Indiana batted .342 with 30 doubles, 28 home runs, and 130 RBIs. “Braxton is a young and talented kid who got his feet wet with our organization last year,” said Goldeyes manager Logan Watkins . “It’s not often you see a guy who can catch and play all over the outfield. His youth and versatility will make him an intriguing guy for us this season and I’m excited to see what his impact will be.” Winnipeg now has 11 players under contract for the 2025 season. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced the re-signing Tuesday of left-handed relief pitcher Tasker Strobel . In his return to the club last season, Strobel appeared in 39 contests and posted a 4-3 record with a 3.76 earned run average and a 2.50 strikeout to walk ratio. The 29-year-old served as the Goldeyes’ closer in 2022. His 21 saves that season ranked second in the American Association and were tied for the fourth-most in club history. He finished the season with a 2-3 record and a 3.42 ERA in 53 appearances and represented the Goldeyes at the All-Star Game in Rosemont, Illinois. A native of Avon, Indiana, Strobel pitched for the Gary SouthShore RailCats in 2019 and 2021 and split the 2023 campaign between the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, Kane County Cougars, and the Atlantic League’s York Revolution. Overall, Strobel’s career record stands at 12-17 with a 4.35 ERA and 31 saves. He has averaged 8.4 strikeouts per nine innings. “We’re obviously excited to bring Tasker back,” said manager Logan Watkins . “He’s coming off one of, if not the best year of his career and he takes a lot of pride in wearing the Goldeyes uniform and he will play a huge role in our bullpen once again.” Winnipeg now has ten players under contract for the 2025 season. WINNIPEG, MB – Outfielder Max Murphy will be returning for a fifth season with the Winnipeg Goldeyes. The announcement was made during the annual Princess Auto/Goldeyes Kids Winter Skills Camp at Home Run Sports Training Centre, at which Murphy was an instructor. Murphy hit .289 with 20 doubles, 17 home runs, and 73 runs batted in in 2024, leading the club in the latter two categories. One of the most prolific run producers in the American Association, Murphy was named the league’s Player of the Year following the 2022 campaign. The 32-year-old has been named to multiple mid-season and post-season All-Star teams during his time in the league, which has spanned seven seasons and 599 games. Murphy’s 116 home runs rank fifth in league history. The native of Robbinsdale, Minnesota has hit .287 over his professional career, with 159 home runs, 236 doubles, and 674 RBIs. A right-handed hitter and fielder, Murphy was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the ninth round in 2014 out of Bradley University (Peoria, Illinois). He earned All-Star accolades twice during his time with the Twins and garnered a Minor League Baseball Gold Glove award in 2017. Murphy reached the Triple-A level with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2019. “Max Murphy is an all-time great player in this league and one of the best to ever wear a Goldeyes uniform,” said manager Logan Watkins . “He continues to put up great numbers and he gives us an offensive threat in the middle of our lineup that is almost impossible to find. Guenther was obtained from the Frontier League’s Lake Erie Crushers November 20 in exchange for a player to be named later The 27-year-old hit .272 for the Crushers last season, with 16 doubles, four home runs, and 37 runs batted in. Guenther was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the seventh round of the 2019 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft out of Texas Christian University (Fort Worth, Texas). After one season in the Rays’ system, Guenther was signed by the Texas Rangers, with whom he played two seasons at the Class-A Advanced level with the South Atlantic League’s Hickory Crawdads. The native of Oshkosh, Wisconsin batted .344 for the Pioneer League’s Missoula PaddleHeads in 2023, with eight home runs and 77 RBIs. “Jake is a guy I’ve had on my radar for a while,” said Goldeyes manager Logan Watkins . “He was at TCU when I was with Cleburne, so he was someone we considered signing but it didn’t end up happening. I’m happy to see he’s had a successful start to his professional career and our paths are finally crossing in Winnipeg. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced the re-signing of infielder Ramón Bramasco Monday. Bramasco (pronounced bruh-MAW-sco) joined the Goldeyes in April after two seasons with the Cancún-based Tigres de Quintana Roo of the Mexican Baseball League. In 77 games with the Goldeyes, the 27-year-old hit .286 with 12 doubles, four home runs, 38 runs batted in, and 11 stolen bases. Bramasco played all four infield positions in 2024, including 48 games at third base and 20 at shortstop. Over the 2022 and 2023 campaigns, Bramasco appeared in 78 contests for Quintana Roo, compiling a .222 batting average with four doubles, two home runs, and 22 RBIs. The native of Bellflower, California attended the University of Washington (Seattle, Washington), where he played three seasons (2019-21). Bramasco hit .275 with 21 doubles, four triples, and 46 RBIs in 111 games for the Huskies. Getting Ramón back was a big priority this off season,” said Goldeyes skipper Logan Watkins . “Defensively, he and Andy Armstrong made up the best left side of the infield in the league last year. Couple that with Ramón’s professionalism and his ability to get on base at a high clip he brings a lot of positives to our team this season.” Winnipeg now has seven players under contract for the 2025 season. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced the signing of outfielder Tanner O’Tremba Friday. O’Tremba was chosen the San Francisco Giants in the 15th round of the 2022 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft out of the University of Arizona (Tucson, Arizona). The 25-year-old spent three seasons in the Giants’ system, reaching as high as Class-A Advanced with the Northwest League’s Eugene Emeralds in 2023 and 2024. In 160 professional games, O’Tremba has compiled a .240 batting average with 31 doubles, four triples, 13 home runs, and 86 runs batted in. The native of Littleton, Colorado has 29 career stolen bases in 34 attempts. “Tanner is someone we expect to bring some fresh energy to the team this season,” said Goldeyes manager Logan Watkins . Coming from the Giants’ organization he’s shown the ability to hit for power and play with speed. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced the re-signing Wednesday of right-handed pitcher Marshall Kasowski . After starting two contests for the Goldeyes in 2024, Kasowski was loaned to the Charros de Jalisco of the Mexican Baseball League. With Winnipeg, he went 1-1 with a 2.38 earned run average and 15 strikeouts. A native of Conroe, Texas, Kasowski was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 13th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft out of West Texas A&M University (Canyon, Texas), and spent six seasons in their organization. The 29-year-old pitched much of the 2021, 2022, and 2023 seasons with the Dodgers’ Class-AAA Pacific Coast League affiliate at Oklahoma City, where he appeared in 58 games – all but one in relief – and compiled a 1-0 record with a 3.99 ERA. “Marshall reported to us late last season due to an off-season injury he was dealing with,” said Goldeyes manager Logan Watkins . “In his short time with us he was nothing short of dominant before he got a very good offer to go to Mexico. I’m excited to have him back and hopefully we get him for a longer period. He’s got the potential to be one of the best starting pitchers in the entire league.” Winnipeg now has five players under contract for the 2025 season. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes have re-signed infielder Edwin Arroyo for the 2025 American Association season, the club announced Monday. Arroyo joined in the Goldeyes in late July and hit .213 with three doubles, one home run, 13 runs batted in, and 10 stolen bases in 27 regular season games. The 33-year-old’s impact was truly felt in the postseason, when he posted a .376 batting average with eight RBIs. He smacked a pair of clutch three-run home runs in games two and three of the Goldeyes’ opening round series against the Sioux Falls Canaries. Arroyo is no stranger to Goldeyes manager Logan Watkins . Prior to missing the 2023 campaign due to injury, he spent the 2022 season with the Cleburne Railroaders team piloted by Watkins. In 87 games in 2022, Arroyo hit .316 with 17 doubles, four triples, five home runs, 41 runs batted in, and 15 stolen bases. He was among the league leaders with a .434 on-base percentage. A native of Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, Arroyo played three seasons for the Chicago Dogs between 2018 and 2020. He hit a combined .306 with 51 doubles and 113 RBIs for Chicago and earned a post-season All-Star nod in 2020. “It was a no-brainer to get Edwin back,” said Watkins. It took a while for him to join us last season and it took some time to get his rhythm going offensively but it can’t be denied how big of an impact he had in the playoffs. Edwin is a true veteran who plays the game the right way is a valuable asset to a championship-style team.” Winnipeg now has four players under contract for the 2025 season. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced the re-signing Tuesday of outfielder Evan Alexander . Claimed off waivers from the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks August 25, Alexander appeared in five regular season games for the Goldeyes last season, in addition to five postseason contests. Overall, the 26-year-old batted .227 with 15 doubles, three triples, and nine home runs. He drove in 45 runs and swiped 17 bases. Alexander was chosen by the New York Yankees in the 19th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft out of Hebron High School (Carrollton, Texas). He spent six seasons in the Yankees’ system, reaching the Class-AAA level in 2022. The native of Frisco, Texas signed with Fargo-Moorhead midway through 2022 and spent the better part of three seasons with the RedHawks. “Evan was a very important late addition to the team last season and he immediately fit right in,” said Goldeyes skipper Logan Watkins . “He brings a great blend of power and speed and has the ability to give us a jolt when we need it. He’s motivated to come back and make a huge impact for us this season and I am excited to see how he plays.” Winnipeg now has three players under contract for the 2025 season.
