WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced Monday the re-signing of two-time American Association post-season All-Star Dayson Croes . Croes (pronounced KROOZ), was named the league’s Rookie Position Player of the Year following the 2023 season. He has represented the Goldeyes in the league’s All-Star Game in each of his two seasons as a professional. The native of Noord, Aruba hit a team-leading .342 in 2024, with 22 doubles, five home runs, and 51 runs batted in. He also led the Goldeyes with 128 hits. Defensively, Croes played 41 games at second base and 44 at the hot corner. He committed just six errors in 267 fielding chances. In 2023, the 25-year-old hit .351, good for fourth in the league, while his 135 hits were best in the 12-team-circuit. Croes has compiled a .347 career batting average with 118 RBIs in 187 career games. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced Thursday the re-signing of outfielder Roby Enríquez . Enríquez hit .296 for the club in 2024, with 18 doubles, three home runs, and 42 runs batted in. His strikeout per at-bat percentage (.111) was among the lowest on the team. Defensively, Enríquez did not commit an error in 132 fielding chances and contributed one outfield assist. The 27-year-old spent the previous two seasons in the Arizona Diamondbacks’ system, reaching the Class-AA level with the Texas League’s Amarillo Sod Poodles in 2022 and 2023. In 136 games in Arizona’s chain, Enríquez hit .290 with 27 doubles, eight home runs, and 65 runs batted in. A native of Carolina, Puerto Rico, Enríquez made his professional debut with the Boise Hawks of the Pioneer League – a Major League Baseball Partner League – in 2021 after two seasons at Indiana State University (Terre Haute, Indiana). Lambson split last year between the Goldeyes and the Saraperos de Saltillo of the Mexican Baseball League. The 34-year-old went 2-0 with a 4.82 earned run average in four regular season starts with Winnipeg, adding a pair of victories in the Goldeyes’ thrilling postseason run. Lambson won an American Association championship with the Goldeyes in 2017 and was named the league’s Pitcher of the Year following the 2019 season, during which he went 13-4 with a 3.11 earned run average. Overall, the native of Montclair, California has made 90 appearances for Winnipeg between 2017 and 2024 and has compiled a 34-17 record with a 3.65 ERA. Lambson has pitched eight complete games, including three shutouts, and has struck out 340 batters. Lambson is among the Goldeyes’ career leaders in wins, winning percentage (.667), games started (55), complete games, innings pitched (426.2), and strikeouts. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced the re-signing Tuesday of left-handed relief pitcher Tasker Strobel . In his return to the club last season, Strobel appeared in 39 contests and posted a 4-3 record with a 3.76 earned run average and a 2.50 strikeout to walk ratio. The 29-year-old served as the Goldeyes’ closer in 2022. His 21 saves that season ranked second in the American Association and were tied for the fourth-most in club history. He finished the season with a 2-3 record and a 3.42 ERA in 53 appearances and represented the Goldeyes at the All-Star Game in Rosemont, Illinois. A native of Avon, Indiana, Strobel pitched for the Gary SouthShore RailCats in 2019 and 2021 and split the 2023 campaign between the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, Kane County Cougars, and the Atlantic League’s York Revolution. Overall, Strobel’s career record stands at 12-17 with a 4.35 ERA and 31 saves. The announcement was made during the annual Princess Auto/Goldeyes Kids Winter Skills Camp at Home Run Sports Training Centre, at which Murphy was an instructor. Murphy hit .289 with 20 doubles, 17 home runs, and 73 runs batted in in 2024, leading the club in the latter two categories. One of the most prolific run producers in the American Association, Murphy was named the league’s Player of the Year following the 2022 campaign. Guenther was obtained from the Frontier League’s Lake Erie Crushers November 20 in exchange for a player to be named later The 27-year-old hit .272 for the Crushers last season, with 16 doubles, four home runs, and 37 runs batted in. Guenther was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the seventh round of the 2019 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft out of Texas Christian University (Fort Worth, Texas). After one season in the Rays’ system, Guenther was signed by the Texas Rangers, with whom he played two seasons at the Class-A Advanced level with the South Atlantic League’s Hickory Crawdads.
