Rose was selected by the New York Yankees in the 12th round of the 2023 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft out of Dallas Baptist University (Dallas, Texas). The 24-year-old made his professional debut in April 2024 with the Class-A Florida State League’s Tampa Tarpons, with whom he appeared in four contests and posted a 1-1 record with a 9.26 earned-run-average in 11.2 innings. Rose pitched in two additional games with the Yankees’ Florida Complex League entry. Brigden (pronounced BRIG-den) is a right-handed relief pitcher who has spent much of the past four seasons at the Class-AAA level with the International League’s Durham Bulls. The 29-year-old was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 17th round of the 2019 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft out of Okanagan College (Kelowna, British Columbia). Bridgen made his professional debut later that year and pitched five seasons in the Rays’ system. Brigden posted a 3-1 record with Durham in 2024, along with a 7.64 earned run average and one save. He appeared in 85 games for the Bulls from 2021-2024, going 8-6 with a 5.09 ERA and three saves. Echevarría (pronounced etch-eh-va-REE-yuh) spent the last three seasons with the Milwaukee Milkmen. In 2024 he appeared in 10 games – including three starts – and posted a 1-0 record with a 13.70 earned run average. The 27-year-old made his American Association debut in 2021 with the Chicago Dogs and his combined record in the league stands at 8-6 with a 5.80 ERA and five saves. Echevarría was chosen by the Baltimore Orioles in the 21st round of the 2015 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft out of Osceola High School (Kissimmee, Florida). He spent four seasons in their system, compiling an 11-5 record with a 4.40 ERA. The 30-year-old reached the Class-AAA level in 2021 with the Triple-A East League’s (now International League) Syracuse Mets. Rentería went 4-0 that season with a 9.00 earned run average in 14 appearances, all out of the bullpen. Rentería last pitched in 2023 with the Class-AA Eastern League’s Binghamton Rumble Ponies, where he posted a 1-1 record with one save and a 3.54 ERA in 19 games. The native of Nogales, Arizona has gone 12-12 with a 5.22 ERA in 101 professional appearances. He has averaged 1.07 strikeouts per inning pitched and a strikeout to walk ratio of 2.40. Jans (pronounced TY-ler JANNS) has played the last three seasons with the Edmonton Riverhawks of the West Coast League – a collegiate summer league. The St. Albert, Alberta native played in 32 games, compiling a 3-3 record with a 2.68 earned run average and six saves. Jans has averaged 1.21 strikeouts per inning pitched and his strikeout to walk ratio is 3.39. After a season at Cloud County Community College (Concordia, Kansas) Jans attended the University of Louisiana Monroe (Monroe, Louisiana) from 2021 to 2022. WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes announced Monday that shortstop Andy Armstrong would be returning for a third season with the club. Armstrong hit .241 in 2024, with 14 doubles, two home runs, and 39 runs batted in. He committed just eight errors in 336 total chances for a fielding percentage of .976. The 27-year-old hit .261 for the Goldeyes in 2023, with 19 doubles and 32 RBIs. He also set an American Association single-season record with 23 sacrifice bunts. The native of Coos, Bay, Oregon was originally acquired via a trade with the Frontier League’s Evansville Otters on March 6, 2023. Armstrong spent the 2022 campaign with Evansville after making his professional debut with the Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer League in 2021. He has compiled a .250 batting average with six home runs and 123 RBIs over his first four seasons as a pro. Lynch (first name pronounced KEE-shawn) played in 69 games for the club in 2024, batting .203 with six doubles, one triple, two home runs, and 26 runs batted in. Defensively, he spent time at five different positions (second base, third base, shortstop, left field, and centre field), committing just two errors in 159 total chances. The 28-year-old played for Goldeyes manager Logan Watkins in 2023 with the Cleburne Railroaders. Lynch appeared in 17 games, hitting .212 with three runs batted in and 11 runs scored. Chosen in the 14th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks out of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (Bradenton, Florida), Lynch spent three years in their system. The native of Lake Hamilton, Florida reached the Class-A level with the Kane County Cougars – then of the Midwest League – in 2019.
