WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes activated right-handed pitcher Edwin Carl from the Inactive List on Thursday.

Carl is 2-3 this season with a 5.40 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 35.0 innings pitched over seven starts.  The Farmington, New Mexico native was placed on the Inactive List on June 26th with an oblique injury.

Carl will be in uniform for tonight’s game against the Texas AirHogs and is expected to join the Goldeyes’ bullpen.

On Monday, the Goldeyes traded right-handed pitcher Pete Perez to the Can-Am League’s New Jersey Jackals in exchange for a player to be named later and released rookie outfielder McClain Bradley.  The Goldeyes released rookie right-handed pitcher Carter Johnson on Wednesday.

The Goldeyes’ active roster currently stands at 23 players.

The Goldeyes conclude a three-game series against the Texas AirHogs tonight.  First pitch at Shaw Park is at 7:05 p.m.  Tickets for all Goldeyes’ home games are on sale now by visiting, or visiting any Ticketmaster location, including the box office at Shaw Park.
