WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes, in partnership with Quarks, Urban Trail, and Skechers, are proud to launch the “Quarks Cares” shoe donation program at all Goldeyes’ home games at Shaw Park.

Throughout the 2016 season, Goldeyes’ fans are encouraged to donate new or gently used footwear to the “Quarks Care” program.  Donation bins will be set up at all three entrances at Shaw Park.

“Quarks, Urban Trail, and Skechers are extremely happy and pleased to launch the ‘Quarks Cares’ shoe donation program,” said Doug Quark , Senior Vice President of the Quark Group.  “The footwear will be collected and distributed to those in need within our great City of Winnipeg.  Let’s spread the word, and fill the bins at every Goldeyes’ home game, so that no one goes without shoes this year!”

Quarks & Urban Trail offers a wide selection of Skechers footwear at eight locations in Winnipeg, and 35 locations across Western Canada.

“We are very excited about this new initiative,” said Goldeyes’ general manager Andrew Collier .  “This is a very unique and worthy cause, and we are grateful for having the opportunity to help those in need.”

The Goldeyes open a three-game series versus the Lincoln Saltdogs tonight.  First pitch at Shaw Park is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
