Tonight’s guests include Goldeyes’ manager Rick Forney, third baseman Wes Darvill, outfielders Adam Heisler and Josh Romanski, as well as Goldeyes’ general manager Andrew Collier .  The show will also feature audio highlights from the 2016 season.

Including 2016, Forney has led the Goldeyes to nine winning seasons, eight playoff berths, and two championships (2012 and 2016).  This past year was Forney’s 20th overall season with the organization.  Since the Goldeyes joined the American Association in 2011, Forney’s .566 winning percentage ranks third all-time in league history among 43 total managers.

Darvill hit .262 with 51 runs scored and 41 RBI, while going a perfect 18-for-18 in stolen base attempts.  The Langley, British Columbia native finished third in fielding percentage among American Association third basemen (.958).  Darvill went on to hit .270 in 10 postseason games.

Heisler hit .300 with eight home runs, 49 RBI, and 27 stolen bases in the regular season.  Heisler hit .302 in the playoffs with eight runs scored, six doubles, and eight walks.  The Mobile, Alabama native was a combined 6-for-11 in Winnipeg’s Game Five victories over St. Paul (September 12th) and Wichita (September 19th).

Romanski hit .305 with nine home runs in the regular season, while finishing tied for 15th in RBI (64) and tied for third in walks (60).  Romanski batted .282 with seven RBI in 10 postseason contests.

Collier has been general manager since 2003 and has been part of the organization since the Goldeyes returned to Winnipeg in 1994.  Collier is now the only person on record to have been in attendance for all three of the Goldeyes’ league championships.
