WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Goldeyes, Winnipeg Veterinary Care Group and White Lotus Pet Spa are proud to present the third annual “Bark in the Park” night at Shaw Park on Saturday, June 9th when the Goldeyes take on the Chicago Dogs – yes the Chicago Dogs at 6:05 p.m.

Bark in the Park is a special dog-friendly baseball game where fans are invited to bring their dogs to watch a Goldeyes game. This year’s game is taking things to another level with further expanded ballpark seating plus a second shot at an official Guinness World Records™ title attempt. The current Guinness World Records title for Most Dogs Attending a Sporting Event is 1,122 dogs, achieved by the Chicago White Sox in 2016. Last season the Goldeyes were only 271 dogs short of the Guinness World Record.

“Bark in the Park has definitely proven to be a Goldeyes fan favourite,” said Winnipeg Goldeyes’ President and CEO Sam Katz. “And this year our fans and their dogs can be a part of history by helping us break a Guinness World Records™ title while also helping to support local dog rescue groups.”

Ticket Packages for “Bark in the Park” go on sale today through Ticketmaster.ca. Packages are available for $14, $20 or $23, and include admission for one person and one dog plus a complimentary “treat bag” for the first 1,000 through the gates. Additional single tickets are available for $10, $15 or $18.  During the event, dogs and dog owners can enjoy various dog-themed entertainment, giveaways, and pet-related fun with plenty of treats for furry fans.

“Bark in the Park” is presented by the Winnipeg Veterinary Care Group, a team of Veterinary professionals dedicated to exemplary medicine, client care, and patient service.  The Winnipeg Veterinary Care Group offers a wide range of services at five associated Veterinary Hospitals, and is committed to caring for every patient as if they were their own pet and family member.
